Help with my Fax Machine!!

Hi,

we have a new fax machine/copier/printer all in one. The fax machine has to bo left on all of the time but this means we cannot use BT 1571 because the fax machine cuts in before the answer machine which means people can't leave us messages which is a pain as we are trying to run a business.

Any help would be great.

unless you enjoy fax tones screaming in your ear, you should really get a second line for the fax. until that happens, turn the auto answer function on the fax off.  the fax will still listen in on the line, and if it hears tones it will activate.

Set the max machine to recive the fax on maximum ring counts. and the answer machine 2 rings earlier then the fax. Hope that will solve the problem
