I am 15 years old and have started my own charity called "Box of Life" in which i buy essentials for the homeless and give it to them in a box/shoebox of some sort. Does this sound like a good idea?

Also, i was wondering do i need to get it registered or something like that?

Finally, do you have any ideas for raising money, iv looked into running a marathon but the furthest theyll let me do is 10k because of my age.

Thank you.

  1. Hmm, I'm not sure if you have to become registered... But it sounds like a good idea!

For raising money you could do a car wash with some friends- make sure people know why you're doing the wash, you could also talk to some local businesses for donations, or ask if you could put donation boxes in their buildings.  If you get some adult help then you might be able to put together a marathon for your charity- the winner gets a medal or something that says Box of Life.  you could go door to  door around your neighboor hood and ask for donations.

    Good Luck!

  2. well: accordingly  it is very important with " Community Service

of course if A fund Raiser can be planned towards Each 1

Community  whom sponsor's an Foundation or just Supporting the

District Committee Meeting they has Volunteers Match Organization

also ask for Parent's Supervisory plus we kiwanis org had

annual  health fair this year & sponsored a Special olympics bowl-athon  too "

  3. Sounds like a great idea, and good on yer!! Yes I do think you will need to get registered. As far as raisng funds, ask friends and family to supply a tin of something each ie peas, carrots, peaches anything edible, and hey presto you have a hamper for a raffle, and it cost you nothing, so ALL  your profit goes to your charity.
