It has been the 4th day since my bantam white silkie has hatched and it doesn't look very good, it can't walk eat or drink. It sometimes hops around but today one of the leg was wonky. I tried giving it some water and it doesn't seem interested, and it hasn't touched its food. If this carries on it will die!! What shud i do?!

  1. Im sad to hear about it. I had the same problem a week ago with my partridge chick that hatched out of an incubator... I tried my best to keep it alive by feeding it and helping it to drink... If at any time your chick p**p's that's a good sign. Unfortunatly my partridge chick didn't survive...Keep hoping...

  2. if you think there is a health problem then take it to doctor...or else go get hand feeding formula and feed the baby bird with a syringe. I had a baby cocoteil and it grew in fact it gets use to you feeding it. Leg going wrong is called splint leg I think.....I don't know if that's the issue with the leg.

    Hope bird survives.

  3. take it to the veternarian for further information im not a doctor so i cant tell u what to do no one can sodo what i said and dont try to stuff food down its throat

  4. check its bottom end if its poo gets caked and dry it can't potty and will die. but if its legs are bent or twisted i am sorry i can't remember the name of this problem but there is nothing you can do.
