Help with my cockatiel, its a baby about three weeks and it is almost dead. I have no idea what to do!!!?

I spray that raid roach spray and i didn't know it was harmful to my new born cockatiels and the oldest one who is about three weeks old got terribley sick from it. they next day it couldn't move one of his legs and today half of his body is completely kind of paralyzed. what can it be and how can i treat it? asap!

I am not going to fuss at you for doing this because you innocently did not know and your heart is broken enough at this point. I never use roach spray anywhere in my home I find those little roach discs works for years without having to use any sprays at all.

There is nothing you can do. This stuff has to work its way threw the babys system and all you can do is hope it survives and regains its ability to move again. I hate to say but that baby is probably going to passaway. If you can not take it to the vet ASAP I suggest going to the pet store and buying some Keytee Hand Feeding Formula and hand feeding it through this rough time. If it survives it was meant to be and if it passes away, well the good LORD simply needed another angel in heaven today.

I wish you good luck with your baby and let this experience be a lesson to you to never use sprays or insecticides anywhere near your birds ever again.

take it to a vet,and don't spray fly spray around birds

First go to a Vet ASAP. I am so sorry for you. I hope others will learn from your mistake. Birds have very sensitive respiratory systems and are very susceptible to lung injury. Just so you know, Teflon, and other non-stick pans that contain PTFE cause a vapor that can kill birds also. Scented candles, air freshener,  Pinesol, a new stove or oven and many other things are harmful to their  respiratory systems.
