Help with my jungle theme costume: tree?

i'm going as a tree, how can i make this in 1-2 days.

ok do you have longish hair? if so back brush it and spray temporary wash-out green hair dye into it.

wear brown trousers/tights or black if you dont have brown and wear a green top. or you could wear all brown/black and let the hair do the talking!. stick some twigs and leaves in your hair and sew some to your clothes :)

Wear brown pants, shoes, shirt maybe. Buy a bunch of fake greenery from a craft store like michaels, joanns, or walmart and a hot glue gun. glue the leaves to your shirt and a cheap beanie/skullie cap.

Brown base (pants, shorts, shirt)

Create leaves out of felt or fleece (either one doesn't fray)-you can draw a few leaf shapes as a template out of a brown paper bag, pin it to the fabric and cut out

Attach the leaves to your top with small safety pins (you can get a container at the craft/fabric store of these)

Just attach leaves from your waist up and the bottom of your body will serve as the trunk

You can draw bark on with a black marker if you want, do this before attaching leaves

If you don't want to do any cutting, buy garland at the craft/fabric store and wrap it around your torso

Dye a linen sheet light brown. Spray paint the bark of a rough textured tree with dark brown paint, and while wet wrap the dyed sheet around it and press all over to transfer to the sheet. When dry you would wrap this around your body loosely and pin it under your arms.  Make a head piece for the foliage using a knitted stocking cap/hat - attaching many different lengths of limber Styrofoam tubing/rods dyed green ...so they bend out around and down over your shoulders and which you part to reveal your face.

Styrofoam additions to your shoes like roots might work but consider a trip hazard.

You could also make the trunk like a bamboo cane (a large one) or a palm tree trunk. You should be able to move about and sit in this without damage and can always remove the head piece if it became tiresome.
