Even though i put in new batteries, the light still blinks red when i try to turn it on. what's wrong with it?

Try this. Take the batteries out for 10 minutes. Push and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then put fully charged batteries back on the camera. If this works you will know by having to reset the time/date. If it doesnt fix the problem, you will need to get it repaired if its under warranty or just buy a new one if not. The cost of the repair probably is more than a new camera. Make sure that you have good strong batteries
