Question:

Help with my new Ipod shuffle?

I just purchased a refurbished Ipod and I can't seem to get it working. I know that it could be the device but it may just be that I don't know how to work it. I'd like to make sure I'm doing everything right before I return it. (Sorry this is long but I'd really appreciate the help!)

It came with a Quick Start instruction manuel and I followed the steps but nothing happened. I downloaded the most recent version of Itunes. I attached the device to the dock, plugged in the USB cord to the computer. Tried this with the device turned on and off but still no results. A green light comes on for about 2 seconds then goes off. I have seen no other signs of it working.

Why isn't Itunes recognizing the device? Is it waiting for me to do something or is the device faulty?

Any help would be great. Please do the best to give me step-by-step instructions- as you can tell, I don't really know what I'm doing! Thank you!

  1. I would check out Apple's support website for the iPod Shuffle.

    http://www.apple.com/support/ipodshuffle...

You can also call Apple Technical support at 1-800-275-2273

They have excellent support over the phone, so give them a call if you cant solve the problem online.

Good luck with your iPod! =]

  2. is it charged?

  3. look it up

  4. probably you will need to give your ipod a name

  5. I have know idea, but i think it's broken or probably you need to register it on Itunes.

  6. iTunes should recognize the iPod regardless of whether or not it is registered or named. Let it charge then try it again. If it still won't be recognized, its most likely faulty. You should try calling Apple anyway though, just to be sure.
