Today we did some cleaning in the basement where my rabbit lives and we used the vacuum cleaner a lot, and he is not very fond of that sound.

Anyways, we were down ther a lot making lots of noise and he didnt look like his usual self, all happy and jumpy.

When i went down there later to feed him again, i noticed that he hadnt eaten any of his food, he was sitting in the back of the cage grinding his teeth. He hadnt even eaten his favorite treat!

This has happened before, but I am still a bit worried.

Has anyone had a situation like this or know what to do?

Thank you sooo much for your help!

  1. COULD BE WAITING TILL YA LEFT AND COULD BE WAITIN TO SEE IF UR GONNA MAKE MORE NOISE AND COULD OF BEEN SCARED A LITTLE TO MUCH..

  2. he was probobly upset and frightened and maybe even stressed bec of the noise, but if he doesnt eat by tomorrow i would call or take him to a vet bec they cant/shouldnt go without eating

  3. he's probably just stressed. when my bunny gets stressed, she hardly eats too. he'll eat again in a few days - just give him time. also, maybe you should consider moving your rabbit when you vacuum, so this doesn't happen. maybe just put him in a carrier in another room. Hope I helped!

  4. Sometimes rabbits get gas. You can give him some over the counter gas medicine for human babies. If rabbits don't eat for a while they will die.
