Help with my selections for an opera class audition.?

I am a soprano who is going to college for vocal performance next year. I am auditioning for the opera workshop but I need some opinions on my selections. There are no specific requirements about language or time period. The selections just have to be contrasting. My definite piece is Batti Batti. My tentative piece is Voi Che Sapete but is there enough contrast? Some opinions would be great. Thanks!

Pick something from La Boheme (Musetta's Waltz & one of Mimi's songs). Some other good opera to pick from I would say include The Magic Flute and Aida (the most recent version of this show was the musical in 2000, the opera is a much older).

If you haven't done any operatic rep before, those are fine.

Do you have anything to offer other than Mozart?  Do you have any other composers or anything inf rench?

Have you researched and listened to Giovanni and Nozze?  Do you understand the characters and the context of their arias?

Are you ready to bring a physical aspect (acting) to your audition?

Are you able to rehearse with a pianist?

All important questions to consider before going in to audition.

EDIT: I'm sorry, but Boheme and any Verdi are NOT developmentally appropriate for a young female singer (unless she truly has the chops for it).  If OP is in her late teens, she'd be doing more harm to her instrument than good.

The person who will be hearing you: did they hear you only for your college audition?  I think as a new student, you have more flexibility in what you offer because the person listening really has no expectation of you until you start working together.  If you can put out a good performance (or even a more-polished one), it should be fine.

If you haven’t had much diction, I think that for someone beginning in opera workshop, you would do well with “The Black Swan” from Menotti’s The Medium.
