Help with my summer school story.?

sorry i just had to get that out, i have asked this question like 6 times. and all the answers are the same. ok so i got this assigned topic and i am supposed to jazz up an overused topic.

So...

Carrie is 14 and is always being compared to her skinny blonde older sister. She is sick of it. And is always teased about her weight. So she starts being bulimic, and then her friend finds out and rats her out.

How would you make this more exciting?

Ps.. she goes to group and in the end I am thinking she is gonna find a guy who likes her just the way she is.

How about.... Carrie gets into a near fatal accident and realizes that in life the things u should value are friendship and love.  Bunch of BS, but teachers love that stuff.  Hope this helps!  :)
