Well a couple of days b4 i left sch she told me that she had been for an interview at another sch as she doesnt like our one anymore, i was devastated i couldnt stop cryin all day. The next day she told me she didnt get the job, i was really happy until i noticed how upset she was that she didnt get the job. I then found out that she's been tryin 2 leave our sch 4 ages (like going to other interviews) and nows she given up tryin but me and my friend h8 seein her this upset and want her to try and go for another interview again but she wont.

So we were wonderin what we could do 2 help her, as she is our fav teacher and i h8 seein her so upset.

  1. Just letting this teacher know how much you respect her as a teacher will help to boost her morale. You can't get involved in her career decisions, that is for her to decide. But knowing that there are students who admire her as a teacher will help her at this difficult time. You could buy her a gift as it's the end of term.

  2. you need a better teacher

  3. Your teacher could be leaving for numerous personal reasons...ie. better pay/benefits with different district. Wish her well for finding a new job. Write her a letter about how much you appreciate her...she'll love it. You might also want to exchange email addresses with her.

  4. She has had a disappointment, and it will take her a little while to get over it, but then she can go on and try again, just as you would if you had a disappointment in something you were trying to do.  She may need a few weeks or a few months until she is ready to try for another job, but don't assume she is giving up for good, even if she says she is.  It may also be that she got some negative feedback which realistically made it clear to her that she isn't qualified for the jobs she is looking for, and you wouldn't know about this, so there would be nothing you could do.

The other thing about teaching is that there are only certain times of year when jobs are available, since you usually can't leave a school part way through the year.

  5. Ok... First thing is its PROBABLY not because of you, its because of the administration. What has happened is that she had her heart set on this other position and put all her eggs in that basket. She probably stopped interviewing because most schools have their teachers for next year and only an unusual circumstance would open up a job *ie late termination or spouse is moving*

She just in a bad place and TRULY, i don't know if you can do anything. If its ADMINISTRATION, its out of your hands.

What you MIGHT do is tell your parents. They MIGHT just be able to do something, but, also know, they could make things worse.

    its a Double edged sword.

  6. she is the adult and you need to leave her and her personal issues alone.  she should never have told you this information.  she will figure out what is going on in her life without the help from teen agers.

but its great that you care about her and her wanting to better her career.  but please dont try to get involved.  shes a grown woman

  7. you are very good student and really caring people, I think your teacher really happy having student like you, and I can see how you are so proud about your teacher, and said she's a brilliant teacher. Because not many people  can appreciate what their teacher give to them, actually teaching is a hard job, because it's not easy to transfer your knowledge to somebody else, and you really appreciate it. I wish your teacher will enjoy her job, no matter where is it, and all the best for you.
