Help with my truck.?

i have a 2001 ford ranger edge and when I'm driving it...it makes a clinging noise under the truck..it sounds like it is in between the two seats under the truck where the exust is can anyone give me any ideas what it could be

  1. It could be that your tail pipe is loose.One of the clamps holding the pipe in place may be removed.


  2. It might be the pipes or the drive shaft. Checkout your u-joints.

  3. it may be the baffles in the muffler get under and if you have a rubber  hammer give it a whack is tech term for a hit if you only have a steel hammer use it but not so hard if it is a baffle you will hear it rattle if you only hear a dull thud its not it
