Okay, so i am ninteen and my little brother is 13. our dad is gone and my mom is living with her boyfriend so my little borther decided to live with me. I know that he doesnt know about masturbation. Should i tell him about it? How do i tell him? Do i teach him how to do it? i need help. and should i give him some lube?

Not something he should need pointers on.  It's a discovery zone!  However if the subject comes up - or you catch him at it - make sure you let him know it's normal for guys of all ages.  In fact very healthy thing to do.  Or maybe find a magazine with such an article - or print one from online and leave it for him to find.

We had a similar situation to this on AAS (All About s*x). The older brother was asked by his younger brother how to m********e, so the older boy told him briefly how it works, and gave him a towel, lube and bid him have fun in his bedroom. The younger brother did just that and returned half an hour later with a big smile on his face and hugged his older brother for helping him.

That's a shortened version, but pretty much it.

The thing is, only YOU can really know whether or not you can actually show him one on one. It's not up to me to say yay or nay. IF you know that he is pretty cool about it, and won't tell the world, then you might be able to talk some, and gauge his response.

in my professional opinion  yes you should tell him and yes teach him how to do it to it might be weird but at least he'll understand the concept of masturbating for a good sensation you should give him some lube.

If you are playing the role of Dad, then you need to give him accurate information about questions that he asks.  For example, you need to tell him that it is normal for a teenager sometimes to feel 'guilty' after masturbating.  If he discovers it on his own, he may have a lot of initial anxiety about what is happening with his body.

I would say you should explain it but you certainly do NOT have to go so far as to teach him how to do it.  Yes, you probably should explain to him that personal lubricate exists, but that if he wants it you will have to buy it for him since most drugstores would not sell this to a 13 year old.

I would say you should explain more than just about masturbation if you are the only father figure he will have.  You should explain also about how people have s*x and encourage him to concentrate on his studies and/or any sports he enjoys and not to worrying about having s*x until he is at least closer to your age if not longer.

If he has a lot of sexual tension, then masturbation is a way to relieve it  but he should engage in this in moderation.  No need to be doing it as often as he can -- no one is handing out prizes.  You need to explain to him he must have a balance in his life and, while teenagers have a lot of 'raging hormones', it is only a full-grown adult male (which you are close to being) who can deal with a full s*x life and he still has some years to go.

Tell him to ask you questions if he is not sure and not to feel embarrassed about doing so.  Assure him that anything the two of you discuss of a personal nature is between the two of you and you will not discuss it with anyone else and he should not either.  It's no one else's business.  Just tell him there are no dumb questions, just dumb answers -- and if you do not know an answer, you will find it out and let him know.
