Help with netgear wnr834m router?

I HAVE A NETGEAR WNR834M, THE POWER LED IS BLINKING GREEN AND IT DOES NOT STOP BLINKING, I CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET AND I CAN NOT ACCESS THE ROUTER, PLEASE HELP

  1. Get a different router.  Netgear routers have a very bad habit of not working, sometimes immediately, more often shortly after the warranty is up.


  2. This is the first Troubleshooting step.

    From the Netgear WNR834M reference manual;

    Be sure to restart your network in this sequence

    1) Turn off and unplug the modem. Then turn off the wireless router, and computer.

    2) Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait two minutes.

    3) Turn on the wireless router and wait 1 minute.

    4) Turn on the computer.

    STEP TWO:

    Check the router status lights to verify correct router operation.

    • If the Power light does not turn solid blue and the Test light does not turn off within 2 minutes

    after turning the router on, reset the router according to the instructions in “Restoring the

    Default Configuration and Password” on page 7-8.

    • If the Wireless light does not come on, verify that the wireless feature is turned on according to

    the instructions in “Understanding Wireless Settings” on page 3-5.

    If Step one doesn't help then ----

    It seems that you are going to have to reset the configuration back to factory defaults.
