Help with new Tattoo placement ??

Question

OK, I am getting an ambigram tattoo using my kid's name's (reads one name one way, and the other name, the other way.....if you don't know what an ambigram is). I figure it will be placed longways (or up & down) so I won't have to stand on my head to show off the "ambigram" effect..... I narrowed it down to either my side (ribcage) or my calf (outside or inside). What does everyone think about the placement ??

BTW.... You can't say forearm, cause my job won't allow it.....and I already have both shoulders pretty much covered.

I think it would look nice on your side. My brothers have a million tattoos and I do not care for the ones on their legs. Just my opinion.

Another thing to think about is which body part you would feel more comfortable showing off. Good luck. I'm sure it will look great either way.

I like the ribs idea (sorry, didn't mention that the first time)

Hard decision! I like both ideas. The calf would be a more visible spot when you wear shorts.... but then the rib cage is a neat placement. From watching my boyfriend get his ribs done I can say it hurts. Watching him twinge was kind of funny. The closer you go towards your pecks and arm pits, the worse it is. I'm assuming your just doing a grey scale or plain black. What would be neat would be to do the grey scale with hints/highlights of a few colors to make it "pop" more. Maybe your kids favorite colors!

I guess the big question is how big do you want it? You could make it bigger on the rib cage. If you went with the calf I would do the outside so when you stand people can see it easily.

As always it's up to you. Think hard about it!

ribs!! by far... :) it's my favorite spot on guys and girls. but this isn't about what i like, it's about you. good luck with your choice, the tattoo will look good anywhere you choose.

side of your ribs from your belt line to about where a short sleeve shirts sleeve would end

my 1st choice would be inner forearm, but i guess you coppers don't get to do that eh, lol
