I just baught a new digital camera, its a Panasonic DMC-FS3 Lumix, and i already had a memory card to put in it which is a SD 512 MB, when i put the card in the camera, the picture screen says "Memory Full" and the Playback screen is white and says "No valid pictures to play", when i put the memory card in the computer, i can figure out how to transfer the images but it doesn't clear them off my card.

Could someone please tell me how to clear my memory card from the computer??

Thanks,

Shelby

  1. Check to see if the memory card has a lock on it?

If it's not locked, format the card with the new camera. Remember to take the old photos off first!

  2. Hi Shelby.....    Your card is full... and what you need to do is to format the card to your camera, meaning you have to set up the card so that it will be communicating with your new camera.  You do this by formatting the card with the camera.  I don't have your camera and alot of people here won't either... but look at the Index page of your camera's manual and find Formatting the Card.   Go into the Menu of the camera and find FORMAT...  might be in Tools... then click or do what ever it says to do.  That will clean off your card and allow it to communicate with the camera.   You will be completely ready to shoot.  To clean off the card completely,  you can format every time your are finished with the old pictures and have saved them to your computer.  Or you can delete each picture one by one.. but it takes longer.   Go try it and see!!!   Thanks for reading.

  3. In the cameras menu click on delete all images. Then reformat the card. That will erase everything.
