Help with new ice saktes?

I have recently took up ice sakting and had my first try yesterday. My dad has said if i get good ican have a pair of ice skates. Are there any ice skating websites in the U.K that i can buy skates from. I live in Southampton and do any of you know a shop i the Southampton area in the U.K where i can buy a pair of skates. THey need to be new ones.

well you should proberbly get them at a pro shop near you

the ice rinks around the southhapton area are basingstoke and guildford..i think. they both have pro shops with skates in. i think guildfords better because there is more of a range . they fit them properly for you as well. Although i think guildfords a bit further away from southhapton.

there might be a shop at Gosport to. but ive never been there myself.

Please try to get into a pro shop for a fitting.  Even if you have someone measure you and end up ordering that exact size online later...skates rarely match up to your shoe size.  

I know 3 people in person who ordered online skates when they got into skating and all three ended up having to re-sell them within a month or two.  Once you've sharpened them you can't return them, and when you're new it's hard to know if they're fitting correctly.

Skates aren't cheap and it's really worth it to get the right pair the first time!
