After like 12 hours my hair always goes oily again. I don't like washing it every day because my hair takes a while to style. What are some tips and tricks that you have to keep it no oily for as long as possible?

Thanks! Aly

  1. there is nothing wrong with the oil that means your hair and scalp are in healthy condition. and actually it helps coat the hair and makes it grow. unless thats not wat your looking for than apply a powder shampoo or use products that contain no oil or serum in them. maybe try a wax or spray. and ease up on  the conditioner.

  2. hey! I have the exact same problem, and it gets REALLY annoying. What I do is get a little bit of baby powder and sprinkle it in your hand. rub it in your hair but make sure that there's no white spots left (that would be embarassing) Hope this helps! good luck :P

  3. go to a beauty supple place like Sally's or somewhere were they sell all kinds of supply for hair and ask them for and shampoo and conditioner that is oil free that helps allot another thing is to color or prim to pull some oil out but it don't last long my hair did the same so get that shampoo and conditioner oh one other thing dont put conditioner on the top just the ends

  4. we r facing the same problem. But for me my problems solved.. I Swore to NIOXIN shampoo.. pricey but absolutely brilliantly FANTASTIC plus it grows ur hair faster n it volumize too if u have fine hair. :) try it babe!

  5. ive got med long hair and it gets quite "greasy" as people call it but its not actually dirty the oil its just something your body naturally does and some people leave there hair without washing it or getting it wet for about 2-3 weeks and its meant to restore your hair to its natural state and some people don't even use conditioner after they've done it and the best idea is Erin the talcum or baby powder it does not damage your hair in anyway and drys all the oil. hope i helped.

  6. Lil, although I probably shouldn't, I wash my hair just about every day.

Hair is supposed to have oils in it.  Make sure you brush about 100 strokes a day (before you put product in), because this takes the oil from the scalp area and moves it all the way to the roots, which is where it is needed.  Make sure that when conditioning, not to apply the conditioner to the scalp, because that can cause not only oily hair, but also buildup on the scalp.

  7. I recommend using the shampoo Dove.

There is a special one I use for the same reason, it is called 'Dove Balance Therapy'

Don't use conditioner, just makes the oil worse in my opinion and try not to fiddle with it so much.

  8. i have the same exact problem! wash your hair every other day. washing it daily will make it more oily believe it or not-when you keep washing it-your scalp will fight harder to create natural oils. get a cleansing shampoo (not store brand-trust me) and use it only once a week. twice at most. some people use powder that is tinted blonde or brown. that will take away the moisture. check online for that or go to a beauty supply store. oily hair stinks doesnt it?!

  9. I also have oily hair and the only solution I have found is wash it every day and don't use a conditioner, except on the ends of the hair.
