Help with ontario works , student welfare?

hi recently my parents moved out of my hometown where i pretty much grew things got bad at my new school and i got kicked out of my moms house , lived with my dad but he was very finatialy stabl so i moved in with my bro-in-law and started working full-time instead of school as i needed money to survive , im 17 worked fulltime for 8 months or almost a year made around 15,000 gross total , i want to go back to school now so im moving back to my old hometown to live with a friend tho i dont have any money now since i was taking on a greater part of bills and rent as my bro-in-law lost his job , by me moving back i was looking into student welfare and was wondering if i am able to recieve it or not , school starts in a couple weeks which wont give me time to find and get a job for things i need before school , has anyone done student welfare an please let me know how it works in ontario canada an roughly how much i can get , this is only temporary as i am willing to work an have for the past year all comments greatly appreciated

  2. Hi, you would roughly get about $680 i think plus a $250.00 one time clothing allowance.  Welfare i think is $585.00, and since your in school they would give you an extra $100.00 for the bus...and if you have a special diet an extra $50.

  3. you can work. you just have to tell them and they deduct whatever you make from how much o.w. give you. and you just have to be over the age of 16 and no older then 65

  4. for one, youu do not have to be under 18, you have to be attending school or doing something active, ie looking for job.. andd you can not have a job, if you do they will cancel ur O.W.

  5. You must be under 18, and go to school full-time, you are aloud to work and make extra money on the side with no deduction from your welfare, just find a socail service place near you
