  1. http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Litter-Box-...

this link is about litter box issues and how to fix them.. make sure kitty has small room with litter box to go in at night

  2. I would get some Natures Miracle or some other pet stain remover and try to clean the area thoroughly so she cannot smell the spot.  Place her litter box over the spot if possible.  There must be some reason she is only using that area in the morning.  Is her litter box cleaned before you go to bed so it's clean first thing in the AM for her?  Maybe if not that there is matter in there she doesn't want to step in in the morning.  Cats are very clean and prefer to step in a clean litter box.  Also make sure there is another litter box where she can find it also so she has more of a choice about where to go.  Good luck.

  3. My only suggestion would be to shake a little pepper around and on the spot the cat has chosen to christen every morning.

It is not cruel. It will, only cause the cat to sneeze, then it would be a deterrent as cats always sniff before they empty themselves.

If this works, wait a few days then thoroughly clean and deodorise the spot, then sprinkle a little pepper again.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Make sure that she can get to her litter box easily, keep it on the same floor as her, so she doesnt have to climb steps to get to it as that can discourage some kitties, also try putting the litter box in the corner that she is using as her potty. If and when she poops outside of her litter box pick up the p**p and place it in the litter box, then take you kitty and put her in the litter box and let her smell it out, she should know what to do from there. Good Luck, And Thank you for considering adoption.

  5. Stick the food in there...

  6. There is a litter called 'Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract' that people say works really well.  You also need to make sure you get all the scent out of the place that she goes on the floor. There are products that you can get at a pet store that are made for this purpose.
