Help with phone related internet connection problems?

if i am playing a game on the internet like cond4 or runescape my internet conntion is lost when ever the phone is picked up then goes all laggy while the phone is still in use, this happens both on the laptop taking wireless internet from the netgear dg834pn wireless router and the main computer which has an ethernet connction linked to the router why is this is there anything that can be done?

Ensure your phone filters are where you want your line signal to split between voice and data. You have'nt got one in your socket with an extension lead from it with another filter in the other end ? If so, take the first one out and plug the extension directly into the wall socket.

Call your subscriber and p**s them off. I did the same.
