Vectors A,B,C satisfy the vector equation A+B=C and their magnitudes are related by the scalar equation A+B=C. HOw is vector A oriented with respect to vector B?

  1. co-linear (parallel and share a common point).  It's the only way you can have two vectors which combine into one vector, while retaining the same magnitude (if they are angled, then the resultant is always smaller).
