I've been riding a burton feather 143 (2006 model) for the last two years and I think it's right for me in terms of lenght/flex-I'm 5.3tall and weigh about 114, quite athletic. I learned some basic tricks like 180s and 5-0. however I'd like to get more into tricks, while still be able to ride the whole mountain on one board (not too expensive). Im looking at:

burton lux

rome vinyl

forum star

in the 142-144 range; Will ride it with burton emerald boots and stilleto bindings. please help me choose :))) any other suggestions are welcome

  1. Stick with your feather YO!!!   ITs a sick deck, you dont need a new deck, IM sure if your just starting to learn tricks that your probally just unlocking the true potential of your snowboard.  Spend your money on some NEW fresh gear. Dont buy a new deck you dont need it. Trust me I fight with myself all the time about this, I have a burton custom from 2003 and Its so frickin beat. ( as far as cosmetics) But it still has pop and is just as buttery as a jib deck like the rome artifact or k2 www..  I always see these kids with the flashy new decks and think , wow i need a new deck, but then i just remember that the deck I have is still SICK and perform so good and im so used to it and in tune with it, I cannot part with my custom. This is just my opinion... If I were a chick and I was getting a new snowboard. Id get a k2, they have some MADDD nice chick decks, and there chick team is rediculous.

  2. Keep your board and save your money until you grow out of that board or you tear it to shreds. That board will be fine for what you are thinking of doing. When you are in need of a new board check out Burton and K2 because in my opinion they make the best girl boards. Until then, happy shredding and keep progressing.

  3. From those three I would suggest the Rome Vinyl.  Rome makes some great boards.  I don't know anyone who rides the Vinyl, but I know guys that ride the Agent, Slash, and Machine.  These boards are very "freestyle" oriented, but also do fine on groomed trails.

You might also consider Sapient - I know girls that ride both the Stardust and Seduction - they are very happy with these boards.
