We would like to get married in a beautiful garden, maybe in Melbourne. We want to be able to stay there for a couple of hours, mingle with guests and have finger food. Then we want to have a smaller intimate reception. Any ideas on ideas of what to do, where to go, how to make this happen would be really appreciated. Thanks :)

  1. It is a great idea in thought but in reality, it would be incredibly rude not to invite all of your guests to the reception.  The uninvited guests will feel snubbed.  Don't do this.  The invited guests will not know any better and will mention the reception to the uninvited guests at the meet and greet.  Some uninvited guests may assume that they are invited and show up and then you really have problems.  You are better off scaling down your invite list and inviting all guests to the reception.  Hope this helps!
