Help with putting digital camera pictures on computer,?

Question

My Windows XP has recently broken, and I have to use windows 98. I have the FUJIFILM, FinePix A805 digital camera, And i cannot transfer pictures off of it to the computer. I have followed all the instructions But it doesnt work, I have tried many different ways, If any one knows how i can do this it would help very much, Thank you!

I also do not know where the box is because our house has just been renevated.

Well, one thing that is for almost all cameras to computers is even if you don't have the software is :

1. plug the camera up off then turn it on after it's connected to the computer

2. then go to your "my computer"

3. look under the cameras name or under a drive that you've never seen before

4. click and it will be file rather than pictures but if you click on them you'll see the pictures

5. just copy and paste to you computer and you're done!
