the writer is suposed to point out small things about people in order to make a big difference. For example, if a writer wanted obama to lose he would point out a small qoute that maybe didnt mean much but it would have a big impact

I think by the writer he means people, in our everyday lives, it is our responsibility not to sugar coat everything that is around us or  anything bad that happens. We need to be real about the issues and our lives in order to fix them. We should not cover up that which should be exposed. If we cannot acknowledge wrong doing how will we ever fix it?
