Help with "unloved" boyfriend?

my boyfriend has been through a lot and has been hurt by a lot of people that he has loved and, it's hard for him to believe me when i say that i love him because he's afraid of being hurt. how can i show him that i DO love him and am there for him? help please!

all you can do is be yourself and continue to reach out to him  - problem is that if he has been hurt all of his life by people that said they loved him, he may never commit.

Why are you wasting your time with someone that obviously does not believe in you or in what you say?  You can't always heal the broken hearted........just move on.........it's not worth your time to have to prove to someone that you really care..........especially if you have not given him a reason to not believe in you.

Time is the best healer!  Stay with him and show him how much you love him through your actions....in the end he will know by your actions and love.

Being rejected is an awful issue for some people to handle. Learning to trust is an on going thing for them and it may be that he will never truly get over all of it. However you can show him he can trust you by being honest and truthful with him.
