I read them in publishing order. I liked noticing the references later on and piecing it together, although it depends on what you like. :)

I'm reading them in publishing order first, and then chronological. Publishing order might be better since he writes new ones fairly often.

It's up to you.  However Jaques recomends reading them in the order they were written not the chonological order.
