Question:

Help with rewiring an extra phone socket from a DIY kit?

My cat just pulled the wires out of my phone socket, I threw the instructinons away quite a while a go so have no idea what colour wire goes to what pin.

I bought the kit from B&Q and have four tiny wires: green, blue, red and white.

I have pins numbered 5, 4, 3, 2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so I don't have to buy a whole new kit.

Thanks

  4. 1st peel those tiny wires so the copper is exposed than connect 2 wires to different pins, if you get the dial tone, fine secure the wires to those pins and your done. But if you dont get the dial tone, keep swtiching the wires to different pins till you do get the dial tone. Trial and error method, is what you have to do.
