Help with router securityu part 2!!!???

Question

Well theres a password on it, which has been forgotten, its the page when its 192.168.1.1, it comes up with username and password prompt screen. I need to know if theres a way to get into this router config screen without the username and password because it isn't right my mums bf's son controlling the router when my mum pays every penny for it. I don't want to have to restart the router. Its not a wpa or wep key, just a normal username and pass

You can always call your net provider and ask them for help fixing this problem..

hacking into a router in that way is advance. Try search at google for an tutorial. To reset the router is the best thing to do, if you dont wana hire an professional hacker. But you could try tehe default password and username: both blank or username:admin pass:admin

If the bf's son is not too bright, he left the user name & password at default.

Get the router manufacturer and model number off the name plate.

Get on the web, go to the manufacturers site and download the manual. The default passwords are in there

Otherwise, reset the router to default settings, (it's in the manual) and set it up again.

Go to the manufacturers support site for your router and find how to reset it. That's the only way I know of.
