I need to Create a scale drawing of each item on grid paper as a net drawing. The scale ratio should be 10 m = 1 cm on the grid paper. Label the net using the actual measurements of the real life structure, not the scale measurements.

I needed to Select a pyramid and a prism and here they are

Yebisu Garden Place Tower (rectangular prism)

Side=55m x 70m

Height= 165m

Khafre Pyramid (square pyramid)

Side= 215m

Height=145m

My question is how do you and can you show me how to draw these figures on a grid paper?.. i'm stuck..can you help?

  1. you have the paper in front of you, I don't.

    Draw them to scale. if something is 55 meters, and your scale factor is 10m/1cm (=1000:1), then draw a line 55 mm long.

    If the object is 165 m, draw it 165 mm long.

    Expect to use up a lot of paper until you get it.

  2. If the grid paper has squares 1 cm on a side, then it's simple.

    10 m --> 1 cm = 1 square

    55 m --> 5.5 cm = 5.5 squares

    70 m --> 7 cm = 7 squares

    165 m --> 16.5 cm = 16.5 squares

    215 m --> 21.5 cm = 21.5 squares

    145 m --> 14.5 cm = 14.5 squares
