  1. take him soon the vet will tell you what vacinations he needs, kennel cough and other viruses that most people dont know about

    hope this helps.

  3. at 8weeks they get distemper/parvo-corona vaccine. then they get every 2 weeks and they Will get bordetella, distemper parvo corona . you can also get lyme, giardia those are extras but good ones to have. take her to the vet they should tell you about this....also you want to start her on advantix for fleas, ticks and mosiqtioes

  4. Just go with him to a vet and you will be told there what shots your puppy needs.

  5. The best tip I can give you is to not over-vaccinate.  Some vets out there will insist that your pup needs every vaccination practically known to man. It's not necessary.  There are a few CORE vaccines that are extremely important to get -- Rabies of course, Distemper, and Parvo.  Then there are non-core vaccines, which you must decide whether or not it's necessary based on your dog's risk of contracting the disease.

These two sites should help you with choosing a vaccine schedule for your pup, and also give some info about those non-core vaccines so you can decide for yourself whether they're worth it.

    Add:

Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Corona vaccines are some that you might want to skip -- read up on them.

  6. you should make an appt asap.  The vet will know what shots he needs, and will most also give you a wormer.

Puppies need 3-4 sets of shots..  given 2-3 weeks apart.

  7. Puppies (6 weeks to 1 year)

    6 – 8 weeks………. first puppy shot (DHLPP) + Corona

    11 –12 weeks……. second puppy shot (DHLPP) + Corona

15-16 weeks……… third puppy shot (DHLPP) + Corona

    over 4 months…… Rabies ( repeat 1 year later)

    7-9 months……… first heartworm test

    Adult Dogs (after 1 year)

    DHLPP…… Yearly

    Heartworm Test……Yearly

Rabies……. Every three years (after 2nd shot)

    Bordatella….. Yearly

your vet will let you know which of these your pup will need. there is a series of shots that start at 6-8 weeks.

Here is a website for some quick learning. But take your puppy

to the vet right away and have him checked out. There you will

learn what you need to know about shots and dog health.

    Please do this soon.

Good luck with your new pup.
