I would like to know what would be good wheels for a skateboard and still be between 19-30 dollar price range, it would be used for mostly street skating but i would like some that could be used for tricks too, and what hardness i should use.

  1. I'm assuming from this question that you're just beginning to skate.  So to answer it in the most honest way I can, you're basically going to have to figure it out on your own.  Meaning, hardness of the wheels is totally personal preference, it's all about feel and what kind of surface you're on.  With street skating, odds are you're not going to want something too soft.  As far as size, you're probably best off somewhere between 51-54 mm.  This again depends on you.  You don't want the wheel to hit the bottom of your deck and "bite" when you land and speed becomes an issue with size of wheels because of the revolutions per turn and all that.  It's probably not the answer you're looking for but you should just go and buy what you can afford.  At this point it probably doesn't matter much anyway, you've got a lot more things to learn than wheel size.

And don't forget, you have to buy bearings too so that's probably another 20-30 bucks.
