Question:

Help with sound card and driver.....?

Can I find out what sound card is in my computer without taking it apart to have a look at it? Can I get it to appear on screen. Or, what driver should I install for my sound card? It's just a standard basic one that was already on the computer. Somehow though, the driver has been deleted and I'm not sure what one to install. Does it matter what one I install?

Cheers

  1. You can view the manufacturer of your hardware in Device Manager on your computer.  Then go to the manufacturer site and download the most current driver.

    Path to Device Manager:

Start > RIGHT click MyComputer > Properties > tab Hardware > button Device Manager >

    then

RIGHT click your hardware description, and you will be able to view the manufacturer.

Another way to see all inside your machine is run a scan at www.Belarc.com/

    Glad to help
