Ok. its just a common livingroom stereo. its an RCA rs 2635. and my right speaker has good sound. (more bass). but my left speaker sounds really crappy. like, it has no bass at all.

It used to work fine. i dont know what happened?

Any ideas?

( heres a website with the specs of it. if anyone needs to see)

  1. That is a common trick with the "shelf" type stereo systems - they make the speakers look big and bad on the outside, but really there is just one speaker working on the inside.

I think the other answer is right, it sounds like you blew the speaker.  If you can remove it, maybe you can find a replacement.  I would recommend getting one from RCA if possible, it will sound the same as the other speaker.

  2. did you disconnect the speaker at all? if you did you probaly connected the positive and negative differently then the other speaker. if you didnt disconnect them at all before the one went bad then its probaly blown
