Is it better to leave the paintballs in the original bags until I play or should I take them out and put them into pods?

Right now whenever I get a new box of paint, I usually put them into my 140 round pods......am I better off leaving the paint in the box or in the pods?

  1. When you take them out of the bag, they have a tendency to dry up.

Read the storage instructions on the side of the box & go by that.

  2. if the balls are still sealed it their original bag, leave them that way. if the bag has already been opened, put it into a large zip lock bag and keep them all at room temp. flip the bags once every 3-4 week to prevent the balls from getting dimples. most likely the balls will bleed (meaning it will give off a bit of oil) but that is to be expected. when you're ready to use them again, put the balls in a large towel/rag and wipe them off gently.

  3. I find that its better when you keep them in the bags and only put them into pods the morning or night before you play. This is because sometimes when you keep paintballs in a pod for a period of time they will compress and sort of melt together making them useless.

  4. The bad because the pod is plastic and therefore hotter.
