  2. Hi, there really isn't much to swimming. All you need is commitment and dedication. You will learn as soon as you join, and the basic necessity is to not let down your team at meets ie by turning up. You dont have to be really fast to join, but you will definatly get faster. Girls usually wear a one piece swimsuit such as the Fastskin, or Aquablade, but some just wear a normal swimsuit. In training some girls wear a two piece suit.

Swimming isn't hard. You just got to commit and listen to your coach. If you have any questions, contact your coach or administration officer of your proposed swim team. Or send an email to your local swimming organisation ie Swimming NSW or Swimming Australia.

  3. Lots of questions:

    1) You need to know if you can afford to join a team.  Some teams run almost $2,000 a year.

    2) Find a pool and swim laps.  Google Swimming Drills for some good ways to perfect your technique.

    3) As a begineer, you don't need to be really fast.  All you need is the will to want to swim fast.

    4) Most girls wear a one piece for meets.  During training in the outdoor/summer season, some girls elect to go with a atheletic cut 2 piece.

Consult USAswimming.org for more information about a local team near you.

  4. you need to know how to swim. you dont have to be fast but you need to be willing to practice. you do need a one piece and a cap and goggles. you can google swim teams in your area and find one. they can answer anything else you need to know.
