  1. every morning before you move out of bed even on your period I did this for  along time as I have PCOs and on the first sign of a high temp hubby and I bded and got pregnant after 4 years and two m/c's

    good luck

  2. take your temp first thing in the am, before getting out of bed at all, and do it everyday.  even on period days.  The only clue that I had that I was pregnant was that my temps never went down.  So before ov, you have temps of say 98.11, then at ov it goes up to 98.74.  Then about 14 days past ovulation (usual luteal phase length) it goes back down to around 98.11 again.  That means you probably aren't pg, and will get your period soon.  But if at around 14 dpo your temp is still 98.74, or close to it, maybe even higher, it's a good indication that it's time to take a test.  Doesn't always mean you are pg, but it is a good tip off.  Like I said, it was the only way I knew.

  3. You want to have s*x before you ovulate, so you should start after your period finishes and do it like every day or every other day until 3 days of high temps.  You are really fertile when you have egg white cervical mucus.  If you are charting your temps, you can confirm you ovulate once your temp goes up 0.4 degrees and stays up for 4 days.  If you use www.fertilityfriend.com you will learn a lot.  Sign up and they will send you informational emails on everything for a few weeks.  You can also chart your temps for free.  Goodluck and baby dust to yoU!!!

  4. you should check out the fertilityfriend website it will give you loads of advice.

Since you are just starting, take you temperature every morning (period included) before sitting up or anything.

Your temps will probably not give you signs of ovulation coming (RARELY a big dip in temperature will happen but personally in two years of charting it's never happend).  What temping will do is show you that you already have ovulated.  When you ovulate your temperature will rise and stay elevated until you get a period.  This is important because once you know you've ovulated you can have a good idea of when you period is due (about 14 days later-we call this dpo or days past ovulation) and if you don't get you period 18 days later this is a sign of possible pregnancy.

here is a link to my charts so you can see what it's like:

  5. Yes you should sign up at http://www.fertilityfriend.com

They send you free daily e-mail tutorials to get you started, and that will answer a lot of your questions. Your temps should rise the day after ovulation, but that's not much use other than to prove that you do ovulate. So you should read up on EWCM and how to do that kind of charting too!

Unfortunately the signs of pregnancy before your next period due date are often exactly the same as PMS, to the extent that there is nothing you can do except wait until you can test! I wish it were easer; wouldn't it be great if ... oh, I dunno ... if your pee turned blue when you're pregnant or something :)
