Help with the cost of babysitters

can anyone tell me the going rate for babysitters, we live in the SE. it would all eve till about midnight on a friday usually, one child

wow i people get paid well for babysitting nowadays if the kid next door is old enough and trustworthy around about £10-£20 for the night dependent on how long your out for

I pay a rookie $8/hr for 10 & 6 year old.  I pay a veteran $12/hr for the same.

depends on who's doing it. if you use a babysitting agency or a proffesional such as a teacher or nurse topping up their income it's around  ÃƒÂ‚£10-12 an hour. however if it's your friends 16 year old daughter the going rate seems to be about £5-6 an hour.

five dollars per hour is how much i charge.

i think it's a good price.

and that price isn't too much for the parents either.
