Help with the inlaws from h**l?

my in laws are lazy and stupid they spend all there money on lottery tickets and expect the rest of the family to take care of them,how can i get them to be more responsible and stop begging me for everything?

Tell them they have a gambling problem and they need help and  treatment. You shouldn't have to support their problem . Next time they ask you for something tell them no and give them a # where they can get help.

Be straight up. It is not up to you to take care of everything for them, and to let them spend their money on things like lottery tickets, if they win are they going to take care of your needs? Tell them to get a life.

Stop giving them anything or they will drain your money and you will be just like them. Distance yourself. Be unavailable. Let the phone take messages instead of answering. Dont answer the door. Become your own person and be certain you get your husband to support you on this. You are enabling them and not truly helping them.

You cannot change them.  Neither can your spouse, but it is his responsibility to "deal" with them.

Discuss the matter with and let him know how you feel and that you do not want them to discuss their "needs" with you.

Then be very firm in not doing that.  If they say anything to you, say you are not going to talk about it, they must talk with him.
