please help its just this one question i dont get

y=sin2x

y=cos2x

what are the two solutions of the above system of equations such that

0<x<pi

  1. Well, if you recall, sin and cos are equal when the angle is 45 degrees....

    Because sin 45 = 0.707 .... and cos 45 = 0.707

    How do you write 45 degrees as a form of &quot;pi&quot;???  45 degrees is the same as pi/4 .... because pi is the same as 180 degrees.... divide that by 4.... and you get.... pi/4 = 180/4 = 45 degrees....

    But you have 2x .... not just &quot;x&quot;.... so if 2x is representing pi/4.... then that means the x = pi/8

    x = pi/8 is one solution.... and I believe the ONLY solution to the given system of equations....

    Why?.... because when you go to quadrant II.... only sin is positive.... The 2nd solution woul lie in Quadrant III (because only tan is positive in Quad III... so that both sin and cos will be negative..... but they have a restriction on the solution that it has to fall into 0&lt;x&lt;pi
