"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"

"What's for breakfast? said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"

"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully.

"It's the same thing," he said.

What does this mean? At first I thought it meant that food was exciting but then I was told otherwise. Can anybody help?

  1. I'm not much help because I agree with you; it makes it sound

like food's exciting. but I don't know how it's exciting that Pooh

might get stuck in that darn honey tree to get his breakfast :D

  2. I think it implies that having food is just like the blessings that will come your way that the day would be exciting...

also, i think that it gives us a reflection that we should be optimistic in any other way...

  3. I reckon it is just that they are both looking for the same thing in their day; something good, something to enjoy. And they are also both living for the moment and in the moment, rather than worrying about the past or future.

  4. Yeah don't think too hard on this one. It simply means that Pooh thinks that food is what's exciting in his day. It could also mean that Pooh is a glutton and is addicted to food :\ Either way, to Pooh, the most exciting part of his day, would be Food.

Unless this person has some kind of symbolism or metaphor that no one else can understand...
