Help with this science book?

Question

Yesterday I was looking at my book on space when I flip-ed to the back. On the back few pages they had star charts. For if you wanted to look at the sky and see the constellations. However i noticed that the seasons where reversed. For winter they had June and July. For summer they had December and February. Why is that?

please review your elementary school geography where it talks about the seasons and the hemispheres.

this is the very best star chart.  Freeware that you can download.  Just tell it where you are and it will tell you what you see.  Enjoy.

Look to see where it was printed.... Odds are it's Australian or maybe South African - where their "winter" is during our "summer."

Your book must have come from the southern hemisphere. They have the opposite season to whatever the northern hemisphere is having.
