Question:

Help with transferring camcorder videos to my mac?

I just bought a JVC Everio camcorder (GZ-MG365). It's a hard disk drive with a doc system. However, my mac won't read the movie files so I can edit the footage or record it to DVD as is. The product came with software, but it only works on a PC. Does anyone know how to get around using the file format .MOD or how to get MAC based software to read the camcorder file?

  3. Upgrade to iMovie 7, it might be compatible with your model camera (it's not on the list). You can still keep iMovie 6 on the startup disk alongside iMovie 7.
