Help with tuning my amp?

i have 2 12' Sony XS-L124P5B and a Crunch PZi-1500.1 amp and i need help tuning it i don't know how to tune the low pass filter also it has a little bass k**b that sits under my steering wheel that has a little light on it that has changed from green to red and i don't know why i looked in the book that came with it and couldn't find anything. any help would be appreciated. thank you

  1. The most important is the gain (or level control) on the amp.

    The purpose of the gain is to match the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp to prevent clipping (damage by over powering).

    You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter, $15 from Radio$hack), Microsoft Excel and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

  2. well i dont know about the light because bass k***s are not suppose to have lights but here it goes.

    the filter is basically a crossover that as you turn it left it blocks more and more frequencies till it only plays the lowest it can. if you turn it right it allows a larger range of frequencies to play. just play with it and keep it low till you like the sound. you could go more advance into this but you might as well get a equalizer then lol
