Help with ukrainian ancestory?

my great-grandfather was from ukraine..and his name was Wasel Dz..? my grandmother doesn't know his full last name. can anyone direct me to a site that can help me track down any family members or anything about my family? much thanks.

Dzubenko is the only shown in the list of common Ukrainian surnames.

Do you have any birthdate/deathdate for him?? I tried looking on the Ukraine section of www.jewishgen.org, but they didn't show anything remotely close to that surname.
