Help with understanding nightmare?

Question

I was walking with a woman who was apparently my friend and she told me she was going out of town for several mo's and was leaving her 2 condos vacant. I suggested I could find friends to rent from her and she agreed. We were on a dirt road and I looked to the night sky and noticed a small circle of lightning occuring. I showed it to my friend and she also though it looked wierd. The circle kept getting bigger and it didn't appear to be lightning anymore but like circular ripples in the sky getting bigger and bigger. After a few minutes I was stunned because a giant hole appeared in the sky. I couldn't see where the hole lead to but a huge golden shooting star like thing fell through the hole and onto the Earth. I knew it was evil and was going to effect people. I was so scared I could barely move and then two men appeared on the road. One of them became a vicious dog like creature and started running toward us. It ended and I can't get it out of my head, help w/ ideas :)

Man, I wish I had dreams that detailed and deep. Honestly, I think most dreams are only from superficial thoughts.

You dream seems that it might have global and Biblical prophetic meaning.  Have you been hearing or reading about "the last days" or Revelation?

There was, at one point, a huge battle in Heaven, where Lucifer rebelled against God and convinced 1/3 of the other angels to join him.  They are now 'Satan' and his demons.  All of human history has been caught in the midst of a giant battle on the part of Satan and his cohorts to claim mankind, and thus "become gods" and hurt God, who loves us, His human creation.  Of course, Satan cannot overcome God, as God is all powerful, and Satan is just a created being.  But, because God granted us free will, we humans do have a "say so" on which side we join in the battle.

In the Bible, Lucifer is called, "morning star" and his "fall from Heaven" is described:

How you have fallen from heaven,

       O morning star, son of the dawn!

       You have been cast down to the earth,

       you who once laid low the nations!

  You said in your heart,

       "I will ascend to heaven;

       I will raise my throne

       above the stars of God;

       I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,

       on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

  I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;

       I will make myself like the Most High."

The angels who joined him in this rebellion are also described as "stars" that fell.  In other places, angels are described as "morning stars singing together."  Doesn't that sound glorious?

The impact of this rebellion had a HUGE ripple effect on planet earth, touching all of us.  This battle is not yet over.

There will be, at some point, 2 men who rise to power who are Satan's representatives on earth, in his final battle against God.  One will be called, "The Beast" and the antichrist, and one will be called "the false prophet".  It is interesting that one of the men on the road turned into a vicious dog like creature.

At some point, he will no longer be just a man, but totally indwelled by Satan - basically Satan incarnate - Satan in a human body.

So, your dream could illustrate Satan's fall from heaven, and him incarnating in the form of a man, who is really a horrible beast (in nature).  It certainly fits, sequentially.

I have some thoughts on your friend, the woman, her departure, and the vacant condos, but should take more time to read and pray before answering.  If I get more clarity on this, I will share.

Pray for wisdom, and for God to show you what your response to this should be.

There is much to indicate that the time is quickly approaching when all prophecies will be fulfilled, leading to the appearing of the antichrist and his government, and also the return of Jesus to take those who love and believe in Him to Heaven.

I read your "prayer request" blog and I have prayed for you.

Wow this is a tough one but i'll try to interpret it the best I can.

It sounds like you are entering a state of your life where you know that eventually, all your comforts of childhood and your teenage years are slowly starting to fade away into true adulthood. You seem very bold and strong about this, to some degree, as you are more than willing to rent out a place.

Though this is a good step in the right direction, you may feel that in doing this, you are still stepping outside some of your comfort zones. As such a thing as dazzling and free as lightning can be, it slowly starts to show a falling star (you) heading towards the Earth as to ground you or to take you from your high place of freedom and make you tackle things like responsibility, which you feel as a sense of dread of something that will inevitably happen.

The two men and the dog are just ways of showing what you are the most scared of being on your own, the constant fear of something or someone attacking you without someone you love being there to help.

(Solely IMO)

if you havent moved out on your own yet, I would say its fear of being on your own.

Other than that, maybe just a simple night terror.
