Help with user accounts in the computer, please?

I'm 13. my dad bought me this new computer. My sister started playing with it. We were using the user account of the computer admin. The name is 'Administrator'. My sister played with the control panel and made a user account for herself entitled 'Admin' and the account type is also computer administrator.

How do I delete the 'Admin'? Every time I click 'change my account type' (or whatever it is), it has 2 choices. 'computer administrator' or 'limited'..... We need to make it limited, but we don't know how to. It's not clickable!

please help me. Or IM me for more info. :)

  1. You need to log on as the admin to change the account type to limited

  2. Go into control panel, user groups, and choose delete account, its the simplest way.Delete whatever account you need to,then recreate that account making it user limited.

  3. for delete an account login to administrator and then start>control>user accounts>select the account > delete

for change the account type > control panel>users> select the user>change type to change the account type.

by default administrator account is hidden so press twice ctrl+alt+del while logon  .

from that type administrator as user name then enter

    try it

  4. assuming you are not on vista.

click on start> then on Run> type

    control userpasswords2

    user accounts windows opens up.

    select account and remove.

you can also make account limited or whatever from here.

If you are not able to delete the account 'Admin' when you are logged in as 'Administrator' then probably the 'Administrator' account is not the real "Administrator" . it must be an user account Given the privilages of 'Standard' or 'Power' user.

Generally a real Administrator account has the username as 'Administrator' too.

    Alternatively you can restart computer

tap on F8 till you reach a different screen with menu in it.

use up/down arrow key to select Safe mode.

hit enter,   It would give you an account named Administrator logon to it (hopefully it is not password protected)

    then just do the rest

    ie

    start>control panel>user accounts> delete selected account.
