  1. if your hair looks oily add some baby powder to your roots

sounds silly, but it works! just make sure to blend it so your hair doesn't look gray.

    hope that helps.

  2. Hi,

there's lots you can do for thin and oily hair. Get a good shampoo and conditioner specific to your hair. There are lots out there for this specific hair type - usually 'volume boosting' will be in the label somewhere. If you're a guy, don't be embarresed about buying a hair product that seems to be marketed to women - no one cares!!! You can always order something online if you feel uncomfortable!

A good cut and colour will do wonders as well. My brunette friend has dark and lanky hair - a few layers cut in and some 'honey' and 'biscuit' highlights later it looked amazing! Book 2 appointments with a GOOD hairdresser (be prepared to spend some money). The first a fifteen to twenty minute consultation about what you're looking for and what will suit your lifestyle and face shape and the second for the actual cut and colour!

    Good luck!

  3. Get shampoo for oily hair :)

  4. use aussie volumizing shampoo and use aussie volumizing mousse and don't wash your hair everyday - it helps big time! dont use conditioner all the time.

  5. don't use conditioner on your roots just use it at the very tips of your hair and wash your hair every day hope i helped!

please pick me as your best answer!

  6. Pantene Pro V volumizer shampoo and conditioner and also use a serum...

  7. My hair is the exact same way and I fought it for years. I've learned that the only shampoo and conditioner products I can use are biolage, k-pak and bain de terre for any length of time. I would recommend using one of these combinations:

Biolage fortifying shampoo + bain de terre watercress volumizing shampoo

Biolage normalizing shampoo + k-pak daily reconstructing conditioner

    If you have colored hair:

Biolage color care shampoo + biolage color care conditioner

If your hair ever gets weighed down from over conditioning or other hair products (it happens to me about once every 2 months):

Use biolage normalizing shampoo + bain de terre watercress volumizing shampoo for 1 week and then go back to the shampoo and conditioner combination that you were previously using

If you have a dry scalp or flakes, use:

Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp 2 in 1 + bain de terre watercress volumizing conditioner 2-3 times a week and use the biolage fortifying shampoo + the bain de terre conditioner the other times you wash your hair

If you have oily roots but dry ends:

Cover the middle and ends of your hair with conditioner, let is sit for 2 minutes, then wash only your roots, avoiding the lower portion of your hair and then rinse all of it out. Then apply a little bit of conditioner all over your hair and rinse it out.

    Hope it helps! :x

  8. what about it?

get shampoo for thin and oily hair. only use conditioner on the tips.

  9. Don't overload on conditioner... If you want to thicken it up at all, go for something that says it volumizes.  A mousse is your best bet because gels, waxes, and creams can weigh hair down and make your hair flatter and more oily.  John Freida and got2b products aren't too expensive and work really great... I've tried everything!!

A cut can help also... adding layers to long hair gives the illusion of thicker hair.  If you have short hair, try a bob - it makes hair look healthy and full.  You can have thin hair with a bob because they look really good when worn sleek but won't look as though your hair is stuck to your head..

    Hope this helps!!!!
