  1. only use your palm of your hand.

when you toss the ball up toss it infron of you, but not too far infront of you, never toss it back because then you have to reach back and your all messed up. practice it. toss straight up and time it,. use your palm, put power behind it, but control it.

  2. lol  i had the same thing and now i kill them. okay bring your arm back so it's like85 degrees. open you hand really wide and stiff but not straining it. it's all in the toss. if you don't perfect your toss you wont perfect your serve. make sure to hit it in the center. if you're frustrated and just wanna get it over, hit it more on the bottom. if you want to try a kill, hit it straight. if nothing helps, it just takes time. be patient.  :)

  3. Practice your toss without serving the ball.  If you own a volleyball, do this at home too.

Do 10 tosses, take 1 minute off, do 10 tosses and so on.  Do at least 100 tosses.  More if you can.  You want the toss about 2 feet higher than you can reach.  You want the toss in front of your serving shoulder.  If you are right handed, in front of your right shoulder.  Do not do the tosses as fast as you can.  Do them the same way you would do in a game.  If you are bouncing the ball 7 times in your real serve, bounce the ball 7 times for your practice tosses.

Start at the 10 foot line.  Get 5 serves over.  Take 1 step back and get 5 serves over.  Keep doing this until you are back at the serving line.  Success is what you need.  Starting at the 10 foot line will get your serve over and build your confidence.

  4. Bring your hitting arm back, like a bow and arrow.  keep it really tense, and then snap it forward.  Also, the key is to a really good toss.  Toss it so when you extend your arm you hit the volleyball at it's full reach.  Just practice, and good luck in volleyball :D
